During my time as owner of Rusted Oak, I was asked by the Valparaiso Rotary Club to present on a topic during their lunch meeting. When I went up to New York City to attend various menswear tradeshows, it got me thinking about supply chains, manufacturing, and ultimately an interest in knowing where my clothes were made. I took this opportunity to expose the audience to some pictures and experiences from around the world in places where the government lacks the power or control over safety and how that impacts both people and the environment. Hopefully my topic left the audience with a few things to think about as it relates to the fast fashion world.
